Fulbright Award

Thanks to a grant from the Fulbright US Scholar program our lab will be working in collaboration with the National Laboratory for Nanotechnology in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The project involves the use of PETl microfluidics devices to test microbial reactors that will be used to test a range of conditions to recover metals from discarded lithium batteries. Dr. Ontiveros will spend his sabattical leave in 2026 working with the Costa Rican team.
