This summer we will join the McGrath group at the U of Rochester in their NSF-funded quest to develop devices that will specifically detect the virus that causes COVID-19. Their unique nano membranes are ideal to, once functionalized, capture the virus present in biological samples. Using PETLs we will help with the prototyping of integrated sensor components and will test different output indicators. The expectation is to produce fully functional point-of-care devices by the end of the summer.
