Student awarded a grant by the Rochester Academy of Sciences

Raunak Al-Rubayie started working almost 2 years ago in the lab building a beautiful data base and smart map (ArcGIS) of all the hundreds of different species of bacteria that we have collected over the the last 7 years. She has also sequenced dozen of species and has now received funding to continue this work. She applied to RAS back in December and was awarded $400. She continues to work completing her major and plans to apply to medical school later this year. Congrats Raunak!
