Alex Martinez and Fabio Sacco were funded by the Center for Student Research and Creative Work at the College to conduct research during the summer. Since Dr. Ontiveros was spending part of his sabbatical at the U of Notre Dame, they joined him for 2 months to work on designing new microfluidic devices. The both excelled in their projects, with Fabio designing and fabricating a double compressor PETL, and Alex building spiral devices for micro particle enrichment as well as electrophoresis chips. Great experience and great work!
